Peptides often carry more than one name: a trade name, a code from early development and a systematic chemical name. TB-500 and thymosin beta 4 are a well known example, and BPC-157 is also known as Body Protection Compound 157.
One number, one substance. A CAS registry number is a unique identifier assigned to a specific chemical substance. Where names can be ambiguous, the CAS number is not.
Why it matters for research. When you record which material you used, the CAS number makes it unambiguous for anyone who reads your work later. Combined with the lot number, it ties your results to an exact substance and an exact batch.
Where to find it. Every NovaCell box shows the CAS number next to the product name, and every product page and research brief lists it in the specifications.
