Most research peptides are supplied lyophilised: freeze dried into a dry powder. In this form they are far more stable than in solution, but storage still matters.

Temperature. Follow the storage temperature printed on the label of each product. NovaCell peptides are stored refrigerated, at 2 to 8 °C.

Light. Many peptides are sensitive to light. Keep vials in their outer box until use.

Moisture. Moisture is the main enemy of a lyophilised powder. Before opening a vial that has been stored cold, let it reach room temperature first. Opening a cold vial lets condensation form on the powder.

Avoid repeated temperature cycles. Moving a vial in and out of cold storage again and again puts stress on the material. Plan so each vial is handled as few times as possible.

Keep the documentation together. Note the lot number of every vial you use, so results can always be traced back to a batch and its certificate of analysis.
